Sizing and swap scheduling

Volume on a construction site is predictable in shape even when it is not predictable in quantity. Demolition and strip-out produce an enormous spike. Framing produces steady offcuts. Drywall produces a second spike. Finishing produces packaging, which is high volume and almost no weight.
That shape is what a swap schedule should follow. A 20 yard bin delivered before the strip-out, swapped once the demolition debris is gone, and left on site through framing and drywall covers most residential builds without anyone having to think about it.
The alternative — calling for a haul each time a bin fills — works, but it means someone on site is monitoring bin capacity, and that person is usually busy.
